The celebration -- a day-long event held on or around July 4th at Freedom Hall Civic Center -- consists of multiple food vendors, musical entertainment, drawings and prizes, ending with a spectacular 20-minute fireworks show.

The official site provides photos from past celebrations, an event schedule and directions to the celebration, in addition to a yearly update of area sponsors.

Responsible for developing and maintaining daily online newspaper advertising, editorial, circulation, graphics and search-engine friendly content for Web site and community portal.

In addition to the main newspaper site, three sister newspaper sites and custom-built content management systems, I developed multiple mini promotional sites and dynamic ASP / PHP / XML / Flash / Flex rich Internet applications communicating with Microsoft SQL Server 2000 and MySQL databases.

 

TuneVault provides online backup via upload of media files - music, video and photographs. As a contractor, I developed the TuneVault desktop application using Adobe AIR, Flash Builder / Flex, ActionScript 3, SQLite database and XML.

Catering to Apple iTunes users, the app features custom options for Mac and Windows users to choose their entire iTunes directory. If the user prefers a Linux OS or they simply aren't an iTunes user, another custom option allows manual selection of a media directory to backup.

     

Western Hills Apartments is located in Nashville, Tennessee - just minutes away from Vanderbilt and all major universities. Western Hills offers luxurious one-, two- and three-bedroom apartments and townhomes.

As a contractor, I developed the site featuring a Jquery photo gallery slideshow and pages for apartment pricing and amenities. Visitors to Western Hills can download apartment applications and floor plans, in addition to scheduling a visit for their apartment of choice.

Waste Hub helps companies turn waste liability into cash. They bring buyers and sellers together by providing a platform for reusing waste and keeping materials that could be put to good use out of our landfills.

Waste Hub also procures anything needed for company operations to run, from bio digesters to cellulosic ethanol plants.

I assisted a team of Web developers with building the front-end user Web application and back-end custom content management system for managing users, waste stream listings and categories.

I developed Al a site featuring all the custom specs for Grind Golf Clubs, in addition to special pages for his custom golf specialties and contact form. This is a place where players can learn and focus on all parts of their game, while being fit for the best equipment available.

Ed Entrekin is a real estate expert with Hearth & Home Realty in Elizabethton, Tennessee. Having more than 10 years of experience, he has assisted numerous individuals and families purchase and sell real estate in the Tri-Cities region of Northeast Tennessee.

With a custom content management system, the Web site hosts multiple realty listings that are updated daily and a special contact form that allows Ed to receive email from all interested parties.

For Jim Woods Realty & Auction Company, I developed a custom content management system that allowed admins and users to post realty listings for residences, auctions, land and commercial properties.

Using Microsoft classic Active Server Pages and SQL Server 2000 for the database, the front-end featured detailed property listings with photo galleries. A special contact page was engineered to immediately send Jim and his staff email for anyone interested in their listings.

Los Angeles resident Alicia Schultze is an aerial dancer who performed on rock and roll legend Mötley Crüe's 2005 Carnival of Sins Tour.

My friend and colleague, Tammy Good, created the whale logo for my company at the time, Whaley Computer Consulting, and assisted me with Alicia's Web site by creating the Gypsy Roze (yes, rose is spelled with a Z because that was Alicia's trademark) logo and dwindling cloth graphics, which I used to develop the Flash animation.

I also developed a custom Flash preloader and opening animation for Alicia's site.
